It doesn't take much energy at all to make it squat. In fact, you can push the back of the car down manually and you don't generate that much power. If you look at the amount of energy actually used to make the car squat, you'll find that it isn't much at all. On the other hand stickier tires WILL consume a lot of power, as indicated by lower trap speeds when using slicks.
